Here you will find explanations of the materials and technical properties of Lenne children’s clothing: meanings of waterproofness, breathability, windproofness, warmth levels, Active, Active+, and ActiveUltra fabrics, and the symbols used on products.

Active clothing is designed to withstand the harsh weather conditions prevalent in Estonia and the Nordic countries, which place particularly high demands on our products. We use special high-tech fabrics that prevent children from getting cold, are wear-resistant, waterproof, and easy to care for. Fabrics with a water column rating of at least 3000 mm are considered waterproof.

OÜ Lenne’s primary goal in product development is safety, comfort, practicality, and easy maintenance.

Symbol Explanations

Loop for attaching the reflector.

The style can be changed from overall to sleeping bag.

The pants have inner snow cuffs that keep snow out of the boots.

Fold-over cuffs to keep your babies hands and feet warm. Tip: buy a bigger size and fold the cuffs. As you baby grows little hands and feet will come out and need just a pair of mittens and booties.

Soft natural fur – naturally warm and luxurious material that provides exceptional comfort and adds an elegant look to the garment. Natural fur offers excellent insulation and a pleasant softness, even on the coldest days.

The soft and gentle lining made from natural material keeps the baby warm and comfortable. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification guarantees that the fabric is skin-friendly, safe, and free from harmful chemicals.

Warm and cozy lining that provides exceptional comfort and adds a touch of elegance to the garment. Perfect for cold days when you want both warmth and softness.

LIGHTLY WARM – ideal for spring and autumn, suitable from +5 °C (with extra layers down to 0 °C). The padding is made from recycled materials.

WARM – suitable for cool weather from 0 °C. Padding made from recycled materials.

VERY WARM – insulation is the best choice for cold weather. Perfect for temperatures -20°C. Padding made from recycled materials.

EXTRA WARM – perfect for extreme cold, down to –30 °C. Keeps warm while breathable materials help prevent overheating. The padding is made from recycled materials.

Filling: 60% down, 40% feather – a natural and exceptionally warm insulation that offers excellent heat retention while remaining lightweight and breathable. Down provides softness and loft, while feathers add structure and durability. A perfect choice for cold and variable weather.

ActiveUltra is an exceptionally durable technical membrane fabric designed for active use and demanding weather conditions. The fabric has a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm, breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24 h and a Martindale abrasion resistance of ≥ 40,000 cycles. The windproof material and PFC-free DWR water-repellent finish help protect against rain, wet snow and wind.

Waterproof 600 mm, breathability 600 g/m²/24 h, and windproof rating 0 l/m²s. The material is treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellent), making it water- and dirt-repellent.

The high-tech Active fabric provides perfect protection in any weather – its membrane is waterproof yet breathable, allowing moisture to escape from the body. With a waterproof rating of 5000 mm, breathability of 5000 g/m²/24 h, windproof performance, and a DWR-treated water-repellent surface, it keeps you warm and dry in all conditions. PFC-free water-repellent finish.

The upper part of the product is made from Active+ fabric and the lower part from highly durable ActiveUltra fabric. Active+: waterproof rating 10,000 mm, breathability 10,000 g/m²/24 h. ActiveUltra: waterproof rating 20,000 mm, breathability 20,000 g/m²/24 h. Both fabrics are windproof and feature a PFC-free DWR finish for water repellency. ActiveUltra has a Martindale abrasion resistance of ≥300,000 cycles, providing excellent durability for intensive everyday use.

Waterproof 10,000 mm, breathable 10,000 g/m²/24 h, windproof and water-repellent. Lenne’s merino-lined softshell combines a waterproof outer layer with a warm natural merino wool lining. Certified, safe, and stretchy material keeps your child warm, lets the skin breathe, and requires little washing – a perfect choice for all seasons.

Lenne merino products are made from an exceptionally thick 300 g/m² merino wool fabric, making them naturally warm and durable. The dense knit structure effectively retains warmth while keeping the material soft and breathable. The merino wool used meets OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class I requirements, is ethically sourced and mulesing-free. Merino wool helps keep the child comfortably warm, allows the skin to breathe and does not require frequent washing. The products are machine washable when following the care instructions on the product label.

92% cotton lining – natural and breathable material that is gentle on the skin and ensures all-day comfort. The cotton lining helps regulate body temperature and adds softness to the garment.

Cotton velour is a soft, velvety fabric with a gentle sheen and a pleasant touch. Natural cotton fibers ensure breathability and comfort, while the velvety surface gives the material a luxurious and cozy look. An ideal choice for garments that need to be durable, comfortable, and beautiful at the same time.

Built-in shoulder straps offer a clever solution for active kids. When play gets intense and the child feels warm, the upper part of the overall can be easily taken off – the straps keep it comfortably hanging on the back. This way, the child can cool down without removing the overall completely. Perfect for quick trips indoors or unpredictable spring weather.

The material is completely waterproof thanks to the combination of a polyurethane coating and welded seams – meaning there are no needle holes for water to seep through, even in the wettest conditions.

Reflective fabric ensures better visibility and safety in the dark. The reflective print on the fabric bounces back light from car headlights and street lamps, making the garment easily visible from a distance. A practical feature that makes everyday outings much safer.

The merino wool lining keeps your child’s body warm and comfortably balanced in any situation. This naturally breathable material wicks away moisture and prevents both cooling and overheating. Certified and skin-friendly, merino wool is safe, soft, and warm – the perfect choice for sensitive skin and changing weather.

VERY WARM – suitable for cold winter weather and keeps your child comfortably warm even in frosty conditions. Recommended for temperatures down to –10 °C; always consider the feels-like temperature and wind chill. For changing winter conditions, warmth can be easily adjusted with layers – in colder weather, add a merino wool base layer and warmer accessories. The padding is made from recycled materials.

• Do not dry on a radiator or in a drying cabinet;
• Allow the product to air dry.
